Recently, the highly anticipated 2025 Turin International Book Fair officially kicked off. Award-winning Chinese sci-fi author Li Yiqian, recipient of the "Science Fiction Planet Award" Gold Prize, showcased his works, including the sci-fi novels 《The Dimensions》 and 《Anomaly: The Disappearance Report of Lucia the Rabbit》, at the Turin Book Fair. He also engaged in discussions with overseas publishing companies to advance international publication efforts.
《The Dimensions》was officially published in September 2024 by China Science and Technology Press. The novel weaves together history and the future, reality and fantasy, using the Inuit folk legend of the "Moon Man" as a narrative hook. It constructs a breathtaking cosmic panorama, demonstrating the author’s skill in blending sci-fi with real-life human stories. The book delivers a fantastical world full of wonder and surprises. This work won the Gold Prize for Best Novel at the 3rd "Science Fiction Planet Awards" in 2025. It was also selected for the 2023 Zhejiang Online Literature Original Works Support Program and the 2023 China Online Sci-Fi Literature Creation Support Project "Sci-Fi and the Future." Additionally, it has received high praise from renowned sci-fi authors such as Liu Cixin, Wang Jinkang, Yin Chuanhong, Chen Qiufan, and Chao Xia.
《Anomaly: The Disappearance Report of Lucia the Rabbit》 is an innovative work that blends sci-fi and mystery. Told through an interactive social media post format, the novel follows an online user named "Lucia the Rabbit" as she searches for her missing husband, delving into an anomalous space-time called the "Liminal Space" alongside a group of explorers. Combining sci-fi and suspense, the story offers readers a unique narrative experience. The novel won the "Light-Year Award" at the 13th Beijing Sci-Fi Creation Competition and is scheduled for official publication soon.
At the Turin Book Fair, 《The Dimensions》 gained popularity among young sci-fi fans, while 《Anomaly: The Disappearance Report of Lucia the Rabbit》 is currently in talks with overseas sci-fi publishers for international release. In 2025, Li Yiqian plans to release two more sci-fi novels, which fans can look forward to.
